The minimum wage is the lowest rate which is calculated on an hourly basis that all employers are supposed to pay. As per the decisions made in April 2023, the minimum wage must be NZD 22.70 per hour. The median wage refers to the minimum payment threshold used for maximum job profiles under the Accredited Employer Work Visa. It is about NZD 29.66 per hour.
