The updates have been set for impacting both employers that are hiring migrant workers and individuals that are applying for the AEWV. Aim is to make visa settings highly flexible for businesses across variable sectors and regions.
Few most important changes include no more requirement of median wage, less work experience will do for migrants, employer engagement with MSD has been made easier, visa periods have been extended for longer for lower skilled roles, higher income thresholds are required to support dependent children, higher ANZSCO skill levels will be recognized and kick in median wage.
