Immigration New Zealand as well as the Ministry of Health will no longer consider the HIV cost treatment as significant. HIV infection has been removed successfully from the list of high-cost health conditions to evaluate resident visa applications by INZ. This specific proposal has been created to update the list that was backed by PHARMAC.
Still, Immigration New Zealand will carry on to assess the medical conditions of applicants, especially ones with positive HIV. These applicants will not be automatically denied visa approval as usual.
