Great changes have been introduced for highly qualified nurses in New Zealand. To ensure that all nurses practicing in the country meet the highest standards of competence and professionalism, the Nursing Council demands undergoing a new assessment process.
It includes an online theoretical examination along with a clinical examination. The eighteen-month transition period may help in making both CAP and the new process of competence optional. Getting documents verified by the CGFNS and clearing the Welcome to Aotearoa New Zealand Program are new additions.
